Poem: Spring Cherry Blossoms

The petals
from the blossom
drift down lazily
with the spring breeze
and land softly
on the grass
in a curtain
of pink and peach
and white
like colorful snow
on verdant carpet
branches wave
in the air
still holding
unopened buds
not ready
to arrive yet.
