Poem: The Next Generation

-

blown-away
by the skill 
the intelligence
the empathy
and the sheer 
resourcefulness 
of the young ones
who come after us 

they have lived
a thousand lifetimes
in their short time
on this planet
seen the best
perhaps they 
will be the ones 
who save us after all
