Poem: Sorry for the Deception

Sorry isn't sorry
when it's apologizing
for your own inconvenience:
"I'm sorry it's been a waste of time
(for me and not for you)."

Remorse isn't remorse
when it's not your soul
that has been ripped apart:
"I'm sorry for what I did
(because I got caught)."

Sadness isn't sadness
when it's just crocodile tears
and it's for show:
"I'm sorry for your loss
(though I think it's good riddance)."
