Poem: Love at First Sight?

-

That first impression 
that meeting of eyes 
has more of an effect 
than you realize 

A quick appraisal 
a judge of your soul 
can change your path 
and derail your goal. 

Is this a threat
or is this already written?
Is this just your fate
or are you just smitten?

An instinct right here 
to reach for his hand 
and follow his footsteps 
across a barren sand

Poem: How I Write

Jumbled up letters  I sort them  to spell out  all kinds  of words to reflect  how I feel  inside  sometimes I see an idea and dash off my response no frills just raw intuition other times I think on form and structure like some  sort of scaffold for building an airtight alibi some of these are only  approximations and are not  as precise  as they could be  but that's okay.
