Poem: Between Two Worlds

I drink both
tea and coffee
Dual worlds
every time
I put on the kettle
or grind the beans
just like I put
malt vinegar
on my chips
and cheese
on my burger.

I use the lift up
and the elevator down
My apartment has
flat floors.
Aluminium
or aluminum
that extra syllable
confounds my friends
an extra 'u' in 'favour'
with so much flavor
confusing for them and me.
