Poem: How You Wish to Spend It
Your own traditions:.
A new beginning
a break from the usual
every year might be the same
a cozy restaurant
a cabin in the mountains
a seashore getaway
Lights and garlands
decorations and ornaments
candles and music
lots of visitors
conversations
togetherness
a sense of connection.
A quiet evening
no chaos, no headaches
no responsibilities, no stress
enjoy your own company
take a nap if you want
no traveling
stay at home.
You have the choice
to spend your time
the way you want to
without someone telling you
"This is what we're doing"
And you're trapped
or bored.
Your own life
your own decisions
on how to spend
the holidays.
Be it as loud
or as quiet
as you wish it.
